International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is dedicated to celebrating the achievements of women in different social, cultural, economic and political spheres. A movement that started in 1911 with approximately one million supporters has grown to become a globally recognised event pulling in billions in following from all over the world.

This year’s theme #EachforEqual draws its inspiration from the notion of ‘collective individualism’ which suggests that our individual actions can cause a change in our larger society.  It also aligns with the United Nations theme: “I am generation equality: Realising Women’s Rights”. Both themes are tied to bringing together women of different races, ethnicities, religions, countries and any other factors that may promote diversity.

This month of March, we reminisce on how far women in various socio-cultural settings have come and actions that are still required to further their progress and encourage breaking barriers and glass ceilings.

Our female executive staff joined the ongoing conversation around gender parity by striking the #EachforEqual sign. We shared across our social media platforms in promotion of broadening perceptions, challenging stereotypes and imploring other companies to ensure that their work culture allows for inclusivity and equality for all.
