"I’m delighted to be joining the prestigious @WorldEconomicForum's Young Global Leaders of 2021. It is truly an honour to be included in this impressive global community of inspiring leaders who are changing the world for the better.
Our #Ask54gene webinar series is back this Saturday!
Today, we celebrate the intellectual prowess and success of women who have dared to dream, and broken glass ceilings in the world of science. They serve as a beacon of hope and a guiding light for our little girls and young ladies just learning to dream as well.
Discoveries like these further emphasize the need for diversity in genomics research. The missing pieces of the human genome are scattered all across the African continent, and only when taken into account can the mystery of our being finally be unraveled.
The ongoing pandemic has highlighted what we as a human community, irrespective of geography, can achieve when we work together. World Cancer Day exists to remind us of that power and to remind us that our actions, big or little, have a significant impact within our borders and beyond.
Thanks to technological advancement, genomic sequencing has evolved rapidly in the past few years. More recently, in combination with precision medicine, it has led to a progressing revolution in personalised healthcare.
